Our Kitchen

At Greenfields,  we have a fully equipped kitchen and employ two cooks, whose focus is to provide healthy nutritious, well balanced meals for the children attending full days.

Our Menu:   At Greenfields we rotate our menu every 3 weeks.  It is also reviewed regularly to include new tastes and textures and seasonal availability of fresh fruit and veg.  All our food is purchased locally and fresh, rather than frozen wherever possible.

If you have any suggestions for dinners we could include, perhaps your child’s favourite, we can look at trying them out and including them on a more regular basis if it proves popular.

Food Hygiene: Our kitchen is maintained to HACCP food hygiene standards as a minimum and is compliant with all Environmental Health Department Standards as advised by the HSE.  As with all parts of our Childcare Facility, parents are welcome to view the kitchen at any time.

Training & Qualifications:  Both our Kitchen staff are qualified to HACCP standards as a minimum.  In addition to this, they hold qualifications in Food Management, Nutrition and a Diploma in Cookery.
